Aston Villa are lining up a sensational scoop for Micheal Carrick, it has been revealed. The People claims Villa boss Gerard Houllier will be given significant funds to spend in the upcoming transfer window.
It is believed that Villa owner Randy Lerner is ready to hand Houllier up to £30 million to spend to bolster his squad for the second half of the season. Michael Carrick has struggled over the last couple of seasons at United and appears to be at the top of the French coach’s wish list.
