CARRICK DISAPPOINTED
Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has said that he is disappointed about not winning against Marseille.
Both sides failed to create a clear-cut chance during the clash with a 20-yard effort from Darren Fletcher being the only real test for Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side will be favourites to progress to the last eight despite not securing a precious away goal but Michael Carrick accepted that he and his team-mates had failed to perform in the south of France.
He told ITV Sport: "We’re pretty disappointed with the performance but we kept a clean-sheet and we’ve got a good chance of winning at home which we’re confident we can do but we’ll need to play better than we did tonight.
